	I got the mod installed on my 1.4 test so I can see what it does. Now I have to figure out how to get it to do the same thing in 2.6. (For those who don't know, Seemly Smilies allows an admin to have different banks of Smilies that only appear in the Post window on specific days - like Christmas Smilies for the Xmas season.)

	Update: I have a version of Seemly Smilies for 2.6.0. However, I suspect there was a problem in the original with leap years. I'm also curious as to how it behaves in Display in 1.4 and 2.6 when 'todays' date changes to where Seemly Smilies isn't active.

	And here it is - the first iteration for 2.6.0 SeemlySmilie for YaBB 2.6.0 Version : 0.2 Installation ------------ 1) Modify YaBB files using BoardMod or manually. 2) Upload modified files to your server in ASCII mode. 3) Upload SeemlySmiliesSet.pm and SeemlySmilies.pm to their relevant directories in ASCII mode. 4) Upload nosmilie.gif to yabbfiles/ModImages, create a folder named 'Seemly' in ModImages and upload your folders containing your smiley sets into 'yabbfiles/ModImages/Seemly'. 5) Enable Seemly Smilies from Smiley Control Center (You can also enable Seemly Smilie for Message Icons as well.) 6) Set alternate Smiley sets for specific dates in Seemly Smilies Control Center. 	Except for shocked - as far back as 2.1 it's been checked lower-case. Obviously at some point somebody decided that :o and :O should render the same. Possibly for backwards compatability for some very early version of YaBB :

	OK, I have been begging for this mod to return for ten years or more, so I guess I better get my butt in gear and set up a fully 2.6 test board and help in the testing of it! 	Seemly Smilies is currently limited to the smilies you see below the posting box. (The ones listed as Smilies in YaBBC.pm.) Adding more functions to the mod is on my ever growing list of things to do. (Even with just 17 Smilies, I think it would be nice to have users see the special smilies in posts even outside the assigned time.)

	OK, I installed the YaBB 2.6.0 package off the web site, and as noted elsewhere, the installation was remarkably smooth. The problem is, it looks like the mods may not be for 2.6.0, but perhaps for a svn version of the forum. (Or somewhere I got a pre-release version of 2.6.0 rather than the final one, maybe.) Steps 9 and 13, I believe, are both looking for things that do not exist in the release package. Step 13, for example, is looking in micon.def for a language call, yet there is no language call in the file I have. Where do I find the latest build? And do I just want to load all the files over the top of what I already have installed? Please don't misunderstand ... this is not a complaint, I just need to make sure I have the right version to work on.

	I just wanted to say THANK YOU! for this! I have been missing this mod for a very long time. I expect there will still be some bugs to work out and details to fix, but it is already terrific and very helpful!

	Now I am not asking about this for today, or necessarily this week, or any other specific time. But I am looking forward to the future and eventual possible improvements to this, so want to discuss problems or future improvements. As mentioned before, the software does allow you to add smilies, even to the smiley block. You can see this in action in the below screenshot of one of my current forums ... I've done a lot of work on that smiley set. But the thing is, I have added smilies to match in many of my other smiley sets, as well. It would be very nice to eventually see Seemly Smilies work with any of the smilies you have added on in the smiley center, like these. Again, please don't hit me or hate me ... I am not asking 'can this be done today?' I am simply throwing out ideas for the future.

	Also, if you try to use a smiley set that is missing any of the smileys, then Seemly ignores -all- of the smileys, and just goes back to the default smileys. What about this possibility? If a smiley is missing from the smiley set, instead of more or less turning off Seemly entirely, what about just going to the default set for that individual smiley?

	I think it would be nice if when someone chooses a date-specific smiley for a post the post should keep that smiley instead of reverting to the default when the date has expired. (So Xmas related posts and smilies would keep their Xmas smileys even after the holidays.)

	I can see that some of the time, like for special holiday posts "Wishing you all a Merry Christmas 2014!" ... but not for all smilies used during the days a set is in use ... would almost defeat the purpose of Seemly Smilies. Something like a check box? "Keep same smilies for this post?"

	The list in the docs is wrong. Would be correct (ModImages/Seemly/nosmilie.gif) I can not find these two settings. Should still be in the Smilys. Code '10' => "Seemly Directory", '11' => "Seemly URL",

	Those two settings are now fixed as ModImages/Seemly (And the ModImages path should probably go back into Paths.pm. ) And yes, the nosmilie.gif should be in the ModImages/Smiley folder.

	The Seemly Smilie for the newer builds and Mod hooks. Haven't got it so it will keep the Seemly Smilies when one is missing - so it's still all or nothing.

	I know this mod has not yet been released for 2.6.1, but I thought I would pass on word that the installation works except for the two steps that modify YaBBC.pm. Those two steps fail. One involves something with character sets, which it looks like has been totally removed from the file. The other involves the $message =~ s~(\W\|^); block of statements. Just hoping to see this eventually move on to 2.6.1 (And please don't take this as trying to add a lot of pressure ... just a tiny mention.)
