You have time and let you also this time, but bring this to an end, what you started. I made myself available to make the Softfware on German and I do too. For Russian I just bring time is not on, even though it is my second language. I know many people who speak perfect French, who speak Dutch, Italian and more. Then there is a user in the " yabbforum.com " comes from Armenia "user32" that sends me stuff that I 've long since translated and incidentally showered the forum with garbage. I do not understand this, and those people I do not need. He has given me nothing I did not already know myself. I can still remember times where Boris was, Spikecity and many more still there. It's a long. Up to YaBB 2.5 I was just a simple mistake hunter who once wrote a little when what was wrong and then has received from a particular person from the Netherlands a silly and stupid answer. Okay, YaBB had a personal touch and that was the graphics. We should definitely keep the old graphics from 2.5.2, to offer at least. It was a personal touch by YaBB. I see no reason to change that. We do not need a forum that looks like pHp, we need a forum that can keep up with the standard and there still some things missing. My wishes are well known and they are not alone my wishes. Already in YaBB AE mods were always less. In 2.5.2 I have the mods already adapted myself because I have simply used as a standard. Since it went and I 'm not a coder. Now it no longer works, I have not much idea of Perl. I was really glad that " Xonder " was back and he does not even know my name. Okay, my YaBB 2.5.2 runs perfectly, I must not change and I will only do it if all there is to mods that I absolutely need . This is my personal bear or even a call for help to all developers of YaBB . You can not hold up a flag if there was something in an old version, which no longer exists in the new at once. if (idea == 'none') {use (manuals) && (Google | | search)}if ($ answer == 0) {post (question)} IP Logged

This make it easier for people to use the older graphics and the older forum look. Mods: 2.6.0 is the version where things had to break so we could move forward. However, there's no reason why I or someone else can't modify or install old mods for people who need them. I believe JonB has permission to get BoardMod back up when he has time. As for the Russian Language Pack - I know the old one is badly broken but I don't read Russian and so cannot check people's work on that. I'm glad 2.5.2 is working for you. It should be stable for a long time. Perfection is not possible. Excellence, however, is excellent. WWW IP Logged
Ruthy Guest Re: Newest YaBB Reply #12 - Jul 27th, 2014 at 9:39pm Hi there, I inherited an old YaBB board a number of years ago. At the time, the previous admin warned me not to upgrade to later versions as she had had issues with upgrades and had to revert back to the then current version. So that means, I'm still stuck in the past on version 2.2. That all said, I've decided I'm just going to take a leap of faith and try to update it. My question is, do I need to update to each new version as I go along (are they even available now?) or can I just jump to the latest usable version (not the latest obviously)? I'm very much the novice with this stuff - I know bits and pieces, but have never put together a board from the ground up, so what I've learnt has been pretty much self taught, or from what my predecessor has told me. I'd appreciate any helpful advice anyone has to offer. Thanks. IP Logged

YaBB comes with utility programs that can take your old data und update it to the newer version if it's needed. Be sure to read the Quickstart Guide and that can guide you through the process. If YaBB is already running on the server, half the battle is already won - most, if not all, the necessary Perl Modules are already installed and you know Perl is working. Edited: I suspect the previous admin had issues with either added Mods not working or not being available or there being problems with updating the templates. A lot of old mods aren't currently available for newer versions of YaBB. Perfection is not possible. Excellence, however, is excellent. WWW IP Logged
