I recreated a new account yesterday and I would like to review update my older postings. 1) Is there a manner to review the older boards and recover my former user profile to transfer it to this one. The postings I made were in reference to using a non YABB membership data base instead of the YABB membership data base. I actually created a PERL library to handle the transactions. 2) I had found a few updates necessary to allow YABB to work on newer versions of PERL and a serious LINUX problem which causes YABB to fail abruptly without warning, this problem revolves around the old 'quota' Linux system command. I ended up commenting out the quota references and dubbing in some code in the Admin/settings_Advanced.pl module. I believe this is the cause of the crashes in at least one support request. I hope this helps, and I wish everyone a great day. JP Langan (halleffect) Greetings and best wishes from Minnesota,JP Langan IP Logged

If you can find your old screen name, you could post a note about it so others can find your old posts. In the meantime, please post your bug fixes so others can find and use them. Perfection is not possible. Excellence, however, is excellent. WWW IP Logged

Has it been removed? Jim Langan Greetings and best wishes from Minnesota,JP Langan IP Logged
