So I'm suspecting your YaBB is running up against some deprecated HTML code that Waterfox just doesn't like.

I just checked, Firefox, Chrome and Edge all seem to be ok

Just installed Waterfox to see how it behaves here.

However, it didn't save the passwords I asked it to.

When I make that switch I still get knocked off and have to login again with Brave if I try to post anything.

With Waterfox it breaks the site.

I'm thinking the easiest solution is not to use Brave

Assuming everything is working right, you don't need the redirect - the force https button should be all you needed to do. (It's just that the cPanel instructions weren't very clear.)

Stablehost, I used them for years and they have always been great in the past.

@Ron - since you were able to login after setting the force https in cPanel, I assume the other issues you had when trying to hand edit .htaccess are no longer issues?

Yes I am. I still didn't get the redirect right

How do I set this up (see Image)

I have - it usually indicates they hired somebody who is a WordPress or other app 'specialist' and has no idea about cPanel and no particular interest in anything outside their specialty.

However, knowing who these people are would be a good thing - so YaBB people can avoid them.

@Ron - since you were able to login after setting the force https in cPanel, I assume the other issues you had when trying to hand edit .htaccess are no longer issues?

Because this is the first time I see such questions forum a host.

Is there another area in cPanel where I can plug in the redirect info?

Logging back in wasn't a problem, I just used my info.

New person is just as dumb

As we have checked there are multiple data/files set URLs with HTTP along with your domain name. You need to contact your developer in order to change those URLs to HTTPS.

Thanks for your patience

Something happened to my posts (probably wetware issue - I'll blame the puppy) @Ron, Those issues are known with cPanel - there is an insecure internal link within cPanel. This can be ignored.

As for the login issue - try clearing the cookies in your browser and then logging in. (That fact that you got logged out means the https redirect is working.)

@ RonS2

you still don't get it. Waterfox offers you a forced https here. This is not real https. That must come from your server and not from the browser. Your pages are still insecure (I can check anytime) and that's not a problem for YaBB.

Here's something odd

The dark one is from Brave and the light one is form Waterfox. Notice the https

It didn't work,  Cry I can't key in where to redirect to

This will force all browsers to use the https protocol for all pages on your site.
You'll notice that I don't have it turned on for all my subdomains. If you do have subdomains, you'll probably want to turn it on for those as well.

Okay - it's official, they are idjits.

from CPanel: If you wish to redirect a domain’s visitors from the insecure version of the website to the secure version, use the Force HTTPS Redirect option on cPanel’s Domains interface (cPanel >> Home >> Domains >> Domains).

So - in your cPanel domain center: find the Domains button, open the Domains window
