This one may need to be looked at for 2.6.12. On my todo list (after I get Permalink 'send topic' squared away on 2.7.00.)

You have my apologies. Somehow, though I downloaded the newer one around January 5th, I was somehow still trying to install an older one. Somehow I flubbed up.

The current one indeed installs smoothly and easily, and works properly in all ways. Sorry for my screw up.

The current zip should be okay.

Here's the one for use with XTC's YaBMod installer

This currently does not install on 2.6.11 due to failing steps 3 & 4. Spoiler Tag has the same problem.

Step 3 is a tiny adjustment of a ), or such at the end of the line which is actually on the line below it.

Step 4 is adding to a section of code that is no longer in the file.

Just passing on word.

For most YaBBers, their server is on *nix - and the BoardMod program is written for Windows... so we kind of assume that BoardMod is modifying files not directly on the server.  Grin

What was I thinking?   :Smiley  Sorry, I install directly to my WEB server. And yes, I do make a backup before I do anything just in case things go south. Guess I'll have to modify the install script.

Hey - the old way of editing files in yabbfiles was to copy them into cgi-bin/yabb2 and then remembering to copy the modded files back to the server into the yabbfiles folder.

If we ever get an 'on server' Mod installer, having it read Paths.pm will be a great idea.

But I like to buck the trend and not be normal. It is BoardMod, thought it might have read the Paths.pm file so as to know the locations of the files. I will install by hand or, move the files, install w/BoardMod, and move the files back.

The installer assumes that the yabbfiles folder is inside a folder named 'public_html'. To get around this you can either edit the mod or in the folder where the YaBB files BoardMod is modding, put the yabbfiles folder into a folder named 'public_html'.

Step 11 ... failed - ERR(2): Could not find file to edit (C:\inetpub\wwwroot\fcm\default.css)

Replace fcm with yabb or yabb2, but I do not have those files there.

This one is almost perfect.

BoardMod could not install it until I did a slight edit to the mod file, adding the ); to the end of the search for text in step 4. Not a big deal, but not an instant installation.

Again, other than that, installs smoothly, and works properly.

And again, thank you!
