Well, I was just able to confirm that the Password reset email does go out from here - so I haven't broken it. (But I DID accidentally upload the Shout Box test copy of Profile.pm.  Embarrassed )

And in 2.6.0 YaBB won't let you get into the Admin Center with the password 'admin'  :Smiley.

I'm an idiot ... just realized I can unzip a new copy of forum and check the vars file myself. Never mind my idiot question.

Something has gone wrong on my main YaBB account.

I have been logged out, and I cannot log back in. No matter what I try, it says I do not have the right password.

I have downloaded the admin vars file, and it looks to be in good shape. Nothing looks corrupted or anything.

It is possible that I changed my password and forgot what I changed it to ... problem is, the password reminder doesn't work, either.

Can anybody remind me what the encoded version of admin is, so I can plug it into the vars file, log in, and then immediately reset it (I'm not foolish enough to leave the admin password as admin.)

Then I can start hunting down why the e-mail password function is not working.
