At least temporarily, maybe Jon should turn permissions on to see if he or others can find any bugs.
It took me a while to realize that YaBB's help sections are different depending on what level of membership is being enjoyed. I think I picked up on it when I started to fix mistakes of grammar and spelling, and then noticed that the changes I made sometimes needed to be changed in every help section; not just one or two or three.
I've also appreciated being able to add admin only links, etc. to kind of make that section of help more comprehensive, but still discreet in terms of not allowing just anyone to see what I've added.
I'm reminded of another thing I love about YaBB's management structure; that we can very easily edit the various help sections via our respective Admin Centers.

They're using the same YaBB version BUT there are differences in Admin choices regarding permissions - the help files are one difference - I have 'use permissions' turned on at this time. JonB doesn't on the Beta. But thanks for pointing out the Moderator issue. I need to look into that.
Edited:
Yep, there's a problem with 'use permissions' and Moderators.
I noticed in the beta forum that there may be a possible bug related to access privileges. The regular member account I have there should only be allowing me access to the User Help section. However, I currently have access to every help section.
Here in this forum, the opposite seems to be true. A moderator should have the additional access of Moderator Help, but only the User Help section is being displayed.
On a related note; a double question. Isn't this forum and the beta forum using the same YaBB build, and if so, why is there the difference that I've reported?
