Well, since my main forum is a fan site for Canadian / American children's author Gordon Korman, it is something that I probably ought to do some thinking about.

This is one that is pretty much ignored by most folks unless your forum is catering to subjects that might attract kids (like pop singers or whatever) - which might attract predators. However, the extra hoops it requires on registrations does a good job at blocking spambots.

Tried to install this one ... have not succeeded yet, due to two steps failing in the install process. With a little time, may be able to figure out where the problem came from, but for the moment ....

(Just checking for testing purposes, anyway ... this is the mod that complies with some law in England, right? Not something I really need for my forum, just testing installation and workings on these.)

This Mod will allow you to check the age of users on registration and either enable COPPA Compliance or reject registration to users under 13 years old.

Installation

1) Modify YaBB files using BoardMod or manually.
2) Upload modified files to your server in ASCII mode.
3) Upload Coppa.pm, Privacy.pm and privacy.policy to their relevant directories in ASCII mode.
