I found out where the error is. It is up to the "member moods". If this mod is installed, the sex in the profile will no longer appear, but is in the *.vars available. Although it is forbidden, a member can also change sex. Please check this mod.

I can't confirm this in either English or German.  On my testing, if the Gender has been chosen, it saves. (tested using Build 1519)

although the indication of sex is required at registration, you can work around them. Returns a new member be a gender, it is also stored in the *.vars. Am I now at his profile, it does not appear there. So I must confirm via the pulldown sex again. Please understand and fix this error.

Further observation: I Confirm the sex in the profile and save it from, call the profile window again, there is nothing under gender.
