General Board - YaBB Development & Mods en-us YaBB Development & Mods Mon, 5 Dec 2022 04:50:23 GMT YaBB 2.7.00 Revision: 2044 30 Please help our old bulletin board YaBB Development & Mods/general (trapperyachts) Sat, 3 Dec 2022 22:49:51 GMT We have been using what is now a very old version of Yabb, 2.2.3, and now it is not working. I can't even post a message myself asking for help. I think we need to upgrade but I don't know how to, can anybody help me?

Thanks

Nick Not Secure Error YaBB Development & Mods/general (RonS2) Mon, 27 Jun 2022 21:42:05 GMT Dandello wrote on Jun 27th, 2022 at 8:28pm:

So I'm suspecting your YaBB is running up against some deprecated HTML code that Waterfox just doesn't like.

I just checked, Firefox, Chrome and Edge all seem to be ok Hi all :) YaBB Development & Mods/general (Pieszyce) Sun, 5 Jun 2022 20:53:01 GMT

Hi Oldiesmann,

Welcome Older Postings YaBB Development & Mods/general (Halleffect) Thu, 19 May 2022 17:26:44 GMT Dandello,

I did post the fixes on an inquiry in the bugs board, I'm trying to find the older CODEX board. Has it been removed?

Jim Langan 2.6.11 Edit Post Bug Resolution YaBB Development & Mods/general Sun, 2 May 2021 14:18:30 GMT
Didn't seem to be a clear place for bug reports on old revisions, so I figured I'd just post it here and let you move it if necessary.

I updated from 2.5AE to 2.6.11 a while back. In doing so, the ability to edit posts broke - no one, not even mods or admins, can modify a post. While it has made for some amusing incidents, it is a bit of a pain. Well, eventually, one of my members got sick of it, did some debugging, and identified the issue. I'm reporting it here in case it has not been found yet.

In cgi-bin/yabb2/Sources/, around line 766, a closing curly brace was put in the wrong location. This makes it so that if attachments are disabled, edited posts are not saved/posted. Here is the before/after:

-- BEFORE --
***Go to Post to see Code***

-- AFTER ---
***Go to Post to see Code***

As an aside, I noticed that the lines of interest are the only ones with tabs in that file. Go figure it was a dirty tabber who introduced this terrible bug! Why Perl Mongers don't play with mySQL YaBB Development & Mods/general (Dandello) Sun, 10 Jan 2021 12:41:02 GMT Off-Topic replies have been moved to this Topic. HTML and Border question YaBB Development & Mods/general (Dandello) Tue, 11 Feb 2020 01:27:31 GMT No, styling the tables aren't a feature of 2.7 either. What I recommend for recipes is to use lists, or (probably better) links to pdf files with a short description in the message.
Merry Christmas Day YaBB Development & Mods/general (Rucola) Mon, 25 Dec 2017 04:52:38 GMT my favorite song

Interesting Articles YaBB Development & Mods/general (Henry Hislop) Thu, 30 Nov 2017 06:41:22 GMT password should be strong such that none will crack it and you will never forget it too Guest post test YaBB Development & Mods/general Fri, 6 Oct 2017 20:29:31 GMT Sire Chuck wrote on Oct 5th, 2017 at 5:46pm:

Test test test test test test

Captcha test
