I think we installed it in 2005!
We've been closed for a couple of years, and as we're about to reopen and I've started using the board again, I realize that it's no longer secure, but I'm at a serious loss as to how to upgrade it and keep our existing/old content.
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction and give me some advice on the best course of action.
Thanks in advance!

Rafi Not Secure Error https://yabbforumsoftware.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1655996821 YaBB Development & Mods/general https://yabbforumsoftware.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1655996821 no-email@yabbforumsoftware.com (RonS2) Mon, 27 Jun 2022 21:42:05 GMT Dandello wrote on Jun 27th, 2022 at 8:28pm:

So I'm suspecting your YaBB is running up against some deprecated HTML code that Waterfox just doesn't like.

I just checked, Firefox, Chrome and Edge all seem to be ok Hi all :) https://yabbforumsoftware.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1654454634 YaBB Development & Mods/general https://yabbforumsoftware.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1654454634 no-email@yabbforumsoftware.com (Pieszyce) Sun, 5 Jun 2022 20:53:01 GMT

Hi Oldiesmann,

Welcome Older Postings https://yabbforumsoftware.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1652969596 YaBB Development & Mods/general https://yabbforumsoftware.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1652969596 no-email@yabbforumsoftware.com (Halleffect) Thu, 19 May 2022 17:26:44 GMT Dandello,

I did post the fixes on an inquiry in the bugs board, I'm trying to find the older CODEX board. Has it been removed?

Jim Langan 2.6.11 Edit Post Bug Resolution https://yabbforumsoftware.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1619965110 YaBB Development & Mods/general https://yabbforumsoftware.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1619965110 Sun, 2 May 2021 14:18:30 GMT
Didn't seem to be a clear place for bug reports on old revisions, so I figured I'd just post it here and let you move it if necessary.

I updated from 2.5AE to 2.6.11 a while back. In doing so, the ability to edit posts broke - no one, not even mods or admins, can modify a post. While it has made for some amusing incidents, it is a bit of a pain. Well, eventually, one of my members got sick of it, did some debugging, and identified the issue. I'm reporting it here in case it has not been found yet.

In cgi-bin/yabb2/Sources/ModifyMessage.pm, around line 766, a closing curly brace was put in the wrong location. This makes it so that if attachments are disabled, edited posts are not saved/posted. Here is the before/after:

-- BEFORE --
***Go to Post to see Code***

-- AFTER ---
***Go to Post to see Code***

As an aside, I noticed that the lines of interest are the only ones with tabs in that file. Go figure it was a dirty tabber who introduced this terrible bug!
