YaBB Language Checker

Instructions: This script will show you what changes have occurred in the English Language files between YaBB 2.6, YaBB 2.6.11 and YaBB 2.7.00.

Remember, English is the base language for YaBB so all non-English language files must be matched against English. When translating for 2.7.00, you cannot remove or ignore any items that are listed in the 2.7.00 'hash'. Removing a listed language item in 2.7.00 can render your forum non-functional. If there are items that make no sense in your language, replace the text for that item with '' or q{} to mark those items as now blank.

When run, this script section will tell you what items are missing (or are extra) from each language file hash or array (Red means missing, green means extra item) by checking the files against the proper item listing from the selected 'hash' file.

YaBB Language File Comparison

When run, this script section will compare two different Language sets, tell you what items are missing (or are extra) from each language file hash or array (Red means missing or removed, green means extra or new item) and will let you know which items have had language changes. (These changes may be as minor as the removal of an exclamation mark to a complete rewrite of that item.) On items that have changed, you can also click on the 'See Dif' link and see the differences in the item. Where an item appears to have missing information, that is an item that has an interpolated variable in it. The script cannot interpolate this information and so truncated the item. 2.7.0 has removed nearly all the interpolated variables in the language items.
