First - make backups of your forum.control and forum.master then try to run Rebuild Message Index. Boards/admin_fix.txt should contain the data in your old Boards/admin.txt file.

REmoved and now getting this message

Should I remove those unwanted categories and boards

from the file - you also have quite a number of categories that have no boards or the boards did not properly transfer.

The error indicates a problem with forum.master having bad hash data - possibly related to subboards or categories.

(I'd have to examine forum.master to see exactly what went wrong. )
