Digging thru my computer in various places, I eventually managed to find the mod package for the 2.5 version, which I think was the last update.

Yeah, I think it was Jason Sutherland.

I have been begging for somebody to do a new version of Seemly since 2.0.

I have a copy of Seemly Smilies. Ver 1.7 (I thought Carsten had done an update of it but if he did I can't find it on his site.)

I can work on it later today or Monday.

Actually, I don't remember who did Seemly Smileys, but a) it wasn't Carsten (might have been Jason, is that who you mean?) and b) he did give permission for updating it. I'll have to hunt around for backup disks for a time, but hopefully I can find both of them.

Post a copy of your last updated Quiz Mod as I don't have to a copy of it.

I can't find Recent Users List in my current collection of 2.4/2.5 mods, so uploading a copy of that would be a help as well.

Seemly Smiley is Carsten's and he hasn't gotten back to me on allowing his Mods to be updated. (As far as I know he also hasn't gotten back to JonB on some other YaBB related things, either.)

And welcome aboard. Smiley

The mod that most keeps me from updating my forums is the quiz mod. It's a mod created way back in YaBB 1 gold (or so). I am the one who has kept it up-to-date in minor revisions (ones that only involve slight tweaking of code lines to fit in the slightly changing code between minor versions), but I do not have the perl skills for the major updates where massive amounts of YaBB code has been changed.

So I am asking for help in getting the quiz mod updated to 2.6, since it is supposed to be such a large rewrite of the code.

The good news is that it is mostly a self-contained mod, so hopefully most of the retrofitting will just be connecting the menu button to the proper place on the menu.

Anybody willing to consider this?

The two other mods I am most interested in seeing transferred over (that I haven't already noticed somebody working on) are the Recent Users List (originally by Ron? Last updated by Deti and Jet Li) and the Seemly Smiley mod which I always bring up on any forum about modding.
